Visual artist and photographer Terhi Asumaniemi (b. 1972) lives and works in Tampere, Finland. She received MA in photography and visual journalism from Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture, Helsinki, Finland (2012) and BA degree from Willem de Kooning Academy, Rotterdam, The Netherlands (1998).
Her recent photographic projects focuses on the intersections of nature and culture. The ideas behind her art works are related to a debate concerning our relationship with nature and the stories which have arisen from our relationship with the environment. Working practise usually involves fine art photography editions and video installations. Currently working with unique technique of pigment print transfers facemounted on wood.
